Q. Where do you find the models and photographers you use in the catalog?
A. From the annual Bikini Jam contest!

Q. Why can't I just send in photos and be selected without going to the Jam?
A. In the past we booked models and photographers this way. It did not work out. All models and photographers we have used over the last six years have come from participating in the Bikini Jam. This gives us the opportunity to know the person before we leave on a photo trip.

Q. Will I get exposure just by attending the Bikini Jam?
A. YES! Our staff photographers and competing photographers will take photos of you all week, many of these photos are used in the catalog. Half of Bikini Jam 14 contestants have photos in our current catalog. This print exposure will help your career. Plus, many models and photographers will be featured in the 2001 Ujena Calendar, Bikini 2000 video, on Ujena.com and in the one-hour special "Ultimate Bikini Contest" airing on the Travel Channel starting March 5th, 2000.

Q. Why does it cost money to compete?
A. Most of your costs are your expenses for room, food and drink, transfers, taxes, and suits. If we did not charge, we would have more models and photographers than we could handle. Plus our contestants are more serious about their career.

Q. What do I get out of my investment?
A. 1) Photos. You will be photographed by ten or more photographers. Most contestants go home with at least 50 4X6 prints taken at the Jam. These can be used for your book. This by itself is worth over $1,500. These photos are also used for the photographers' books.
2) Exposure. All contestants are guaranteed exposure.
3) Experience. The Jam gives you a lot of experience in front of the camera and on stage. This experience alone is worth the trip.
4) Photo Trip. The winning model, photographer and fitness challenge winner will be taken on an all expense paid photo trip for additional exposure and fun.

Q. Why do you need to wear Ujena product?
A. Ujena is the sponsor. We need to know what you look like in our product. Also, you know you will NOT be competing against other contestants that are wearing $1,000 custom suits.

Q. How can I get registered? I don't have the full payment right now.
A. Your non-refundable deposit of $149 holds your spot. Final payment is not du until August. We would like to have your photo on file before the Jam but you do not need to send one to get started. You can register by phone 800-448-5362.

Q. What is the range of ages of the contestants and do I need to enter all events?
A. Our contestants range in age from 16-44. If under 18 a parent or guardian must also attend. No you don't have to enter all the events.

Q. Is there a height requirement?
A. Heights of our contestants range from 5 foot to 6 foot. Height is not an issue for us. A toned proportioned body is more important.

Q. Can I get started online?
A. Yes: You can get the Entry Kit ($20), or you can hold a space with a deposit ($149). You receive a free entry kit when you place a deposit.
